Garrettstown beach is about 35 minutes drive from Cork city just outside the town of Kinsale and village of Ballinspittle. You can find it easily by driving out past Cork airport and following the signs for Kinsale. As you arrive in Kinsale, drive out along the quay and pass the Marina and Hotels. As you drive out along the Bandon river road you will see a large bridge. Cross over the bridge and stay right heading for the Old Head of Kinsale. You then arrive at a large cross roads, where you turn left and you can get to Garrettstown via the Old Head.
As you drive out of Clonakilty heading for Cork city there is a turn off to the right at the Shannon Vale factory and head towards Timoleague. As you arrive in Timoleague follow the signs for Ballinspittle village and then on to Garrettstown. The drive takes about 25 minutes.
